Offshore structures for the petro- and renewable energy industry

Since 1983 IMPaC as a subsidiary of SPG Steiner is working in the field of offshore structure and became an international recognized specialist for offshore structures for the petro- and renewable energy industry. Also for ‘Harsh environment’ which means often ice.

The team of IMPaC consists of highly qualified experts in ice technology and research. Theoretical models and programs for the prediction of ice loads and the response of offshore structures have been developed, model tests have been carried out for comparison and in-situ measurements have been taken for verification. Special IMPaC design features such as ice barrier systems have been developed. R&D programs and close cooperation with universities and institutes assure continuous update of front-end knowledge.

Offshore Wind

The wind energy exploitation of the North Sea is one of the biggest challenges facing the offshore industry in the years to come. We are covering the design of production as well as transport and installation assets such as transformer and converter platforms, wind turbine foundations and jack-up vessels.

Our clients range from marine contractors and fabrication yards to energy companies and government authorities.

Offshore Platform

We are specialized in the planning, design, transport and installation of facilities for the exploration and production of offshore oil and gas. Our experience includes jackets and topsides of lifted, float-over and self-installing platforms as well as pipeline engineering.

We do design engineering for new build structures, brown field engineering, structural integrity management, decommissioning and removal and more.

Naval Architecture

We built a skilled team of engineers, naval architects and project managers that are dedicated to deliver specialized engineering projects. They have the experience and skills to provide engineering solutions, technical guidance, support and project management for structural calculations, vessel inclining experiments, lightship calculations, load transfer or noise and vibration analysis.

Marine Operations and Decommissioning

In many projects of the offshore wind industry the question of transport and installation (T&I) of the asset is raised. We have performed various concept studies and verifications of practical relevance for ongoing wind farm projects.
